Acerca del evento
The REAP Climate Center will be hosting a bonfire potluck and mixer for those interested in sea level rise adaptation. We invite you to join us for a night of community, conversation, and connection. Please RSVP if you plan on joining us!
The REAP Climate Center is a 4.26 acre campus in Alameda. REAP’s mission is to increase access to climate change mitigation by providing ecological experiences and climate job pathways, teaching people environmental process and practice. REAP's campus is feeling the impact of sea level rise. In its North corner, you can find rising brackish groundwater. Bioswales have been dug into the site to manage changing water levels. This site, and many others around the Bay, will be significantly transformed in the coming decades by rising sea levels. Our outdoor, off-grid campus is designed to show people how nature can function as infrastructure.
Our potluck and mixer will be an informal way…
