This is a chance to explore the beauty of the water right in your backyard — even if you’ve never kayaked before! We’ll provide all the gear, safety tips, and guidance you need. Along the way, you’ll learn about the local wildlife, the history of the shoreline, and how our communities are working to protect East Oakland from flooding and sea level rise.
