About the event
Join OAAC community partners at the MLK Jr. Shoreline to learn about the highest tides of the year, King Tides. Together we will observe and discuss how this tide combined with projected sea level rise will impact the habitat and recreation along our shore.
Come out and observe the tides and join our photo challenge to win a $100 gift card. Participants will capture photos along our tour and then choose and submit one photo to be entered for the challenge. Further details will provided at the event.
The Oakland Alameda Adaptation Committee (OAAC) is a coalition of shoreline communities and stakeholders working to co-create a coordinated and inclusive future-looking action plan and sub-regional organizational structure to accelerate sea level rise adaptation, protect and restore water quality, recreation and habitat, and promote community resilience.
